Biobank Service
Nom
Biobank of the IUCPQ-ULaval Research Center
Description
A true catalyst for biomedical research, the Biobank brings together more than 135,000 high-quality biospecimens (blood products, lung and heart tissues) from 25,000 participants. The Biobank’s samples come from patients with various pathologies related to the Center’s main research areas: cardiology, pulmonology, and obesity, type 2 diabetes, and metabolism. The Biobank is an essential resource for optimizing diagnostic methods and discovering potential treatments for different pathologies. Its services are offered primarily to the Institute’s researchers and their collaborators in Quebec and across Canada.
